A major component of our delivery promise is that the applications we build will actually work on as many phones as possible. Testing is crucial to this promise and we have partnered with FonJax, a company who offers a unique means of remotely testing phones on US carriers. This ability allows us cost-effective access to a large set of handsets that can be used by offshore QA teams.
Worldwide delivery of SMS is essential to our optimized delivery strategy and Clickatell provides the ability to seamlessly deliver text messages to every country in the world utilizing a single management interface.
Adobe/Macromedia dominates the Web development environment, and they are attempting to move into the mobile space. There are some significant limits to their technology right now including minimal penetration into the handset market. However, with their large developer base, they are a key player, and we will work with their technologies when appropriate.
Currently, Microsoft is only a niche player in the mobile phone space, but is likely to grow in significance. Xosphere is a Microsoft Mobile Technologies partner in the US, and our development team in Buenos Aires was the first Microsoft Gold Development partner in the world, with especially close ties to Microsoft in Latin America.
An important aspect of our proposition is the delivery of significant numbers of users to our customers' applications. Rich Media Vendors, such as Pointroll and Akamai deliver a major portion of the rich media ads on the Internet, and we are engaged in discussions with these vendors to sell Xosphere services to their stables of agencies and publishers.
While we have positioned ourselves as carrier neutral, our relationships with the carriers is very important, both for ensuring access without impediment, but also for development of carrier specific opportunities when they present themselves. This is especially true when working with MVNOs who are typically bound to a single carrier. Current development partnerships include Sprint, Cingular, and Orange.
